About this tool

Place each original visible page on a new sheet of the same chosen size. Handle mixed dimensions and quarter-turn rotations, choose scaling and alignment, then inspect real output thumbnails before downloading. Your original file stays unchanged.

Common uses

  • Unify mixed scans onto one standard paper size.
  • Keep smaller pages at original scale while shrinking oversized pages.

How to use it

  1. 1.Choose one PDF and inspect the original page dimensions and thumbnails.
  2. 2.Choose standard or custom paper, scaling and placement. Check each page scale and offsets and any clipping warning.
  3. 3.Create the new PDF, inspect all actual output previews and download. Retain the original file.

Paper conversion examples

Rotated page fitted to a square

Visible box x20 y20 width200 height280 pt; rotation90°; target560×560 pt; fit; center
Scale: 200%
Bottom-left offsets: x0 y80 pt
Output: 560 × 560 pt; rotation0°

The displayed page is 280×200 pt, scales to 560×400 pt, and gains 80 pt above and below.

Keep a small page at original scale

Visible page200×280 pt; target Letter612×792 pt; shrink-only; center
Scale: 100%
Bottom-left offsets: x206 y256 pt
Output: 612 × 792 pt; rotation0°

Shrink-only does not enlarge the smaller page. Letter margins share the unused area equally.

Limits and notes

  • One PDF up to 10 MiB and 100 pages; output up to 40 MiB. Reading, worker processing and rendering each have a cancellable 30-second deadline. Compressed streams can still consume substantial memory; no hard decoded-memory limit is claimed.
  • Standard sizes: A4 210×297 mm, A3 297×420 mm, A5 148×210 mm, Letter 612×792 pt and Legal 612×1008 pt. Swap standard orientation or enter custom width/height in pt, mm or in. Each target edge must be 1–10000 pt; 1 in = 72 pt, 1 mm = 72/25.4 pt. Unit changes convert custom values; displayed diagnostics use six decimal places.
  • Fit uses min(target width/source width, target height/source height) and may enlarge; shrink-only caps that factor at 1; original scale uses 1 and can clip. Center splits spare space equally, while top-left aligns the visible top-left edge. Offsets are points from the new bottom-left origin. Pages keep order, become Rotate 0 and use the visible CropBox/MediaBox intersection; no aspect-ratio stretching.
  • This is not lossless layout preservation or redaction. Embedded page streams can retain hidden content. Page annotations, links and explicit auxiliary boxes, document bookmarks, tags, metadata and digital signatures are not preserved. Invalid geometry, non-default UserUnit, encryption, AcroForms and signature permissions reject. Blank pages remain blank.
  • Original and output thumbnails have a 160px maximum edge, omit annotations and may omit source images above 2 million pixels. Rendering failure prevents download. Settings, reset, new files and locale changes invalidate old results. Inspect downloaded pages at full size; no input upload or persistent storage.

Frequently asked questions

Will fit distort the page?

No. One proportional scale fits the visible page within the target sheet. Spare space becomes margins; original scale can clip if the new sheet is smaller.

Are interactive content and signatures preserved?

No. The new sheets embed page content, omit annotations and document structure, and do not preserve signatures. Keep the original PDF.
