About this tool
A browser-local EXIF utility for inspecting common JPEG capture metadata and removing common EXIF, GPS, XMP, and IPTC/Photoshop privacy data.
Common uses
- Inspect camera, capture-time, and GPS information in a photo.
- Clean common privacy metadata before sharing a JPEG.
How to use it
- 1.Choose a JPEG and inspect its EXIF data.
- 2.Clean the metadata and review the removed segment and byte counts.
- 3.Download the cleaned JPEG.
Limits and notes
- JPEG/JPG only; cleanup targets common EXIF, GPS, XMP, and IPTC/Photoshop metadata.
- Cleanup does not re-compress image data and cannot guarantee removal of every vendor-specific private block.
- Cleanup traverses segments after scans and rebuilds only non-private orientation without pixel recompression. Unknown, incomplete or unsupported layouts are rejected.
