About this tool

Generate individual PNG/SVG barcodes or lay out bounded CSV batches as physical-size label PDFs with paper templates and calibration.; includes CSV batch QR labels, A4 / thermal PDFs and ZIP.

Common uses

  • Create labels for inventory, samples, or internal workflows.
  • Test data and check digits for several barcode symbologies.
  • Create 15 SKU001 copies and one EAN-13 label from the batch example: 16 labels on two A4 pages with 14 slots per page.
  • Reuse a partly used sheet with an initial skipped slot, then compare the horizontal and vertical calibration rulers before printing at 100% / Actual size.

How to use it

  1. 1.For one barcode, select a format and generate its PNG/SVG as before. For batches, paste or import CSV with value and optional format/copies headers.
  2. 2.Choose A4, Letter, 100 × 50 mm thermal or custom paper; set label dimensions, gaps, margins, skipped slots and calibration offsets in mm. Generate and inspect every preview page.
  3. 3.Prepare the calibration PDF and print at 100% / Actual size. Measure both rulers, adjust offsets, generate the label PDF, and test the intended printer, stock and scanner.

Limits and notes

  • Code 128 accepts printable ASCII text; EAN, UPC, and ITF-14 require defined lengths, and production labels should be tested with the target scanner.
  • Input ≤64 KiB UTF-8, 100 records, 200 labels, 50 pages; unique SVG budget4 MiB, PDF≤8 MiB. Limits reject the whole job.
  • Local label-layout profile, not full GS1 application certification or code allocation. EAN/UPC modules0.264–0.66 mm with scaled minimum bar height; ITF14 module≥0.495 mm and bars≥31.75 mm. Reserve an extra12 modules white on each side outside the complete artwork, plus≥2 mm label inset. Never shrink modules to fit. Code128 does not parse FNC/GS1 escapes; Code39 has no optional Mod43.
  • Presets are generic geometry examples, not branded stock. Set actual millimetres; print Actual size/100%, disable Fit and extra scaling, and check orientation. Measure both calibration rulers, adjust offsets and scan with the intended device. No printer control or guarantee for all scanners.
  • Local parsing and generation; no CSV upload, input storage or printer connection.

Frequently asked questions

How are check digits handled?

Enter the body length and the tool calculates the check digit; enter a complete code and it verifies the final digit before generating.

What happens to lowercase Code 39 input?

Lowercase letters are converted to uppercase, and only characters allowed by Code 39 are retained.

Does the PDF automatically shrink long barcodes?

Local label-layout profile, not full GS1 application certification or code allocation.

How do calibration and partly used sheets work?

Presets are generic geometry examples, not branded stock. Set actual millimetres; print Actual size/100%, disable Fit and extra scaling, and check orientation. Measure both calibration rulers, adjust offsets and scan with the intended device. No printer control or guarantee for all scanners.
